Swami Vivekananda Institute Of Allied & HealthCare Sciences started functioning in 2022 under the aegis of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama Charitable Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram. This 333 bedded specialty hospital was started in 1937 as an extension of Sri Ramakrishna Ashramam, Nettayam, which is a branch of world-wide Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission with its Head Quarters at Belur, West Bengal. The college is approved in GO (MS) No: 253/2022/H & FWD .02/12/2022 by the Govt of Kerala of Health & Family Welfare Department and recognized by the Director of Medical Education (DME), Kerala and the Paramedical Council of Kerala, Affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS).
